Contractor of the Year Award 2008

North West  based arboricultural Company Euro Tree Service Ltd that was first established in 1980 has just triumphed in a nationwide competition to find the best Arboricultural Contractor of The Year for 2008

The horticulture week landscape and amenity awards were held in London at the Hilton Hotel. Jonathan Ross’s brother Paul presented the awards and it was a tense moment as company director Simon Walton waited to find out if Euro Tree Service had been chosen from the short list.

“It was a surprise and a delight to find out that we had won” said Simon. This has been a team effort and all the credit should go to the staff who make the company what it is today.

The team in question have various qualifications and our track record is to give customer satisfaction.   

Business Expansion

Euro Tree Service Ltd has recently expanded its business and created a sister company ‘Euro Tree Wood Fuel Ltd’ which specialises in  the production, sale and delivery of sustainable fuel products from renewable sources linked to specially adapted boilers. During January we have been re-awarded the contract from Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council forh te management of all trees in parks and open spaces throughout the Borough in partnership with the local Housing Association.  

Accreditations

During November 2008 Euro Tree Service Ltd were re-assessed for both Constructionline and CHASS (Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) and were successful in achieving the standards necessary to become re-accredited with both organisations. 

Euro Tree service is currently working towards achieving ISO 9001:2008 status by early 2009. We are currently working with David Harwood from H&H Consultancy Associates Ltd - QUOTE FROM DAVE HARWOOD – “for the size of the business Euro Tree Service already have robust control system in operation which will be matched to the required sections of the ISO standard allowing certification to be achieved” 

Staff Appointments

In November 2008 David Gilbert the companies Operations Manager was appointed as Operations Director with a remit to support the Company Director in developing and expanding business opportunities ensuring sustainable growth of the company.

We have appointed Tristan Evans and Anthony Falconer as Senior Team Leaders within the company supporting the Operations Director in managing and developing all operational activities.

We have also recently appointed Richard Hughes, Graham Burgess and Daniel Chelton as Arborist all three have previous experience of Arboricultral work in the North West with a diverse range of companies, and Stephen Higham as Arborist Mechanic. Stephen previously worked for a well know Agricultural Engineering firm based in the North West.
